5 foods & easy habits to stay fit!

Hello Monday!

What better way to start the week than by implementing some healthy habits?

I am a huge believer that aside of regular sport practicing, your diet is essential to stay fit. Sometimes I’m not feeling working out for a week or two (as you can see, I take resting time very seriously 😉 ), but I won’t feel guilty in any way because I know my healthy habits will keep me fit. Indeed, It is true that abs are made in the kitchen!

So eating healthy will for sure keep you fit, thus staying away from empty calories and processed foods. And, of course, drinking A LOT of water.

From here, there are some strategic foods & habits to add to your diet that will mantain your metabolism active.

Start the day with lemon water:

  • It helps waking up: it has the same effect as caffeine but without the mid-morning crash!
  • Great way to flush out toxins from the night before
  • Boosts your metabolism (activates digestion)

TIP: Keep lemon slices in the freezer for immediate lemon water!

Add some chia seeds to your breakfast

As I explained at the end of this post, Chia seeds are low in calories and full of vitamins, proteins, fiber and antioxidants.

This makes it a “super food” I highly recommend to add in your breakfasts on a daily basis.

Snack on an egg & avocado toast

This is the perfect snack combo, as eggs help burning fat and provide protein for muscle repair, and avocado gives you essential healthy fats and fiber.

It’s very filling if you put them on a whole wheat toast.

Detox with green tea

Tea is the perfect warm and comforting drink for this time of the year. Green variety contains antioxidants and enhances your metabolism (burns calories while resting).

I prefer drinking organic green tea if possible, with a teaspoon of honney to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Sprinkle some cinnamon

Cinnamon is part of every fitness diet as it is another “super food”.

  • It regulates blood sugar
  • Reduces inflamation and muscle soreness

TIP: Cinnamon is perfect to replace other additives that are high in sugar and calories.

It can be esasily incorporated into your morning coffe or tea, into smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, scrambled eggs…

So that are my daily healthy habits which keep me fit and happy. If you are interested in more healthy diet related content, don’t hesistaste asking me in the comments down below!

Have a stupendous week!
