Blank page. The cursor is beating at the tempo of the piano notes playing on the background, waiting for words to bloom fluidly over the desert page. As inking fresh skin for ever, the blank page gives the space to create ex-nihilo, thus corrupting its purity by definition. What you can bring into existence out of your ideas and by your actions is beyond belief. And what will remain after marking the first steps on intact snow are the changes you make under your talent as you go.
It’s kind of how moving out of your country for a while feels like. Living abroad offers you abundant opportunities, possibilities of directions that could lead everywhere. Long talks, new encounters, unexpected stops at new corners, spectacular city sunsets on rooftops, are experiences that will mark you for a long time, if not for life. That’s why I absolutely love being abroad, so I can learn as much as I can from every person I have the pleasure to cross paths with, whether for short or long term. And staying with the best memories at the end of the day.
Today I would like to share one of the best Rooftops in my opinion, to watch the sunset in the center of Madrid while sipping a Tinto de Verano or a fancier cocktail. The Círculo de Bellas Artes is located in Calle Alcalá 42, and it’s one of the most important private cultural centers in Europe. I appreciate the management of the space in this vast place, as it combines various atmospheres from a casual-relaxing one to a more classy area adorned with light strings. I would only add the drinks there are a bit on the pricey side compared to down the street bars, as we paid 3€ for a coffee, 4€ for a pint and finally 6€ for a Tinto de Verano.
From up there you easily see Gran Vía, Plaza de Cibeles, Colón, as well as the Telefónica Building among others. I leave you with some of the pictures I took.
